Two factor authentication is another great way how we can secure our accounts. Instead of using just a password, 2FA allows us to set up a second factor to use in order to gain access to our accounts. Common methods used on mobile phones are facial scanners or fingerprint readers (and a pin).
Email services can also be set up to send an authentication code to your phone which you need to enter as well as your password to log in. This provides us security in the eventuality that criminals do manage to obtain our password – without the 2nd factor of authentication, they won’t be able to get in.
